How long does the battery last?
Somfy’s rechargeable battery system is concealed within the roller tube, requiring no visible wiring or socket connections. With normal use, you’ll only need to charge the battery twice per year.
The system provides clear battery level indications. If connected to TaHoma, battery levels are displayed and alerted through the app. For stand-alone installations using remote control, an LED on the motor head flashes orange when battery levels drop, still providing 1-4 weeks of use.
Roller blinds are simple, versatile window coverings consisting of a single fabric sheet that rolls up neatly into a tube when opened. Their subtle look, durability and minimal maintenance make them ideal for commercial spaces such as offices, schools and hospitality venues. With battery operation, they are especially useful for high-level or hard-to-reach windows, removing the need for ladders or manual handling while maintaining smooth, reliable operation.

Our partnership with Somfy brings you wireless technology that integrates perfectly across your entire building. Somfy’s WireFree™ motors run on batteries concealed in the roll-up tube, meaning you don’t need to run wires to sockets, avoiding costly electrical installation works.
Control your blinds via handheld or wall-mounted remotes. No more running around your office, restaurant, hall or boardroom to adjust individual blinds. All Somfy products can be controlled together with other building services using a single application on your laptop, smartphone, tablet or PC.
The Tahoma Switch offers an evolutive solution with native integration of RTS and Zigbee 3.0 protocols, plus cloud compatibility. This accessible smart building solution is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing voice control. Zigbee technology is energy efficient by design, reducing power consumption whilst delivering excellent performance.

Our Fabric Collections compromise of specialist fabrics designed for commercial environments. Choose from premium blackout options like Unishade, Fulham and Hyde for complete light control, or screen fabrics such as Uniview or Quad (available in 1%, 3%, 5% and 10% openness) for glare reduction whilst maintaining outward views.
Fire-retardant fabrics come as standard across all ranges, meeting safety requirements for schools, healthcare settings and public buildings. Options include easy-clean PVC fabrics like Dart and Unilux for kitchens and high-hygiene areas, plus Thames with antimicrobial coating for healthcare applications.
